Faraja Provides Vital Lifelines to Children with Special Needs in Tanzania.
The Faraja Fund Foundation founded and funds two unique programs in Tanzania
The Faraja School for Children with Physical Disabilities
Founded in 1999, Faraja School is the only residential primary school in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, where children with special needs receive an excellent K-7 education, vocational training, and dedicated medical and occupational support so they can effectively manage their disabilities as they move through life.

There are more than 600,000 children in Tanzania who live with a disability.

Only 15% of Tanzanian children with special needs receive an education.

Many children with special needs in Tanzanian’s remote villages have never seen a doctor, and mothers, caregivers and community health workers lack the knowledge and resources to help these children.
Faraja changes this reality.
