Greetings from Faraja!
It's hard to believe that Faraja students have completed the first semester of 2021! We thought you might be interested in some of the activities that wrapped up the semester:
1. District Exams - measure how well Faraja students are mastering the Tanzanian government curriculum for their grade levels. The scores help the staff determine how the kids are progressing. ![]()
2. Sports Day - is fun for everyone! This year it was held on June 4. It is organized so that all the children can participate in many typical field day races and competitions. A marathon kicked off the celebration! There were foot races for those who can run and wheelchair races for those who can’t. A balloon challenge, tug of war, football, volleyball, basketball and a soda game were all included. As you can see in the photos below, the kids had a ton of fun competing! ![]() 3. End of Semester Celebration Lunch - students enjoy a special meal and the top students in each class are recognized. Students are rewarded based on their performance to inspire them to work hard and make them feel appreciated for their efforts! Here are this semester's top students: Kindergarten: Nahilo Sileti Class One: Emmanuel Melkiori Class Two: Meseiyeki Saimali Class Four: Suzanna Boaz Class Six: Latifa Mohammed ![]() After a four-week break, students return to school for the second semester that begins on Monday, July 5.
